I was able to develop and personally use these scripts only because I started by calling 400 people a month.

I did learn from the best...and coming at this from the background of a writer and communicator—a person to whom “precision” with words was important...

I worked to develop my scripts to fit every occasion.

For you see, when they handed out social skills, I thought they said road kill, and being a vegetarian since I was 14, I stood behind the door!

My mother, in her 70’s, confides she never learned the rules of the game!...the game called life. She made it, and was wonderful, and creative, and generous. But she didn’t understand politics even on the most basic level required for social or financial success.

Because I was not born with knowing what to say...like a baby born with the knowledge to suckle...I had to practice experiences I never had. How could I call THOSE “rehearsing”? I had never “hearsed” (heard/known) them from the beginning!!

So I called them prehearsing. Hearing them before I’d ever heard them...in other words: thinking them through and writing down answers to the situations I thought might come up!

I was embarrassed at first. I thought everyone else knew what to say.

And HOW to say it!

I discovered I was not the only one who did not know what to say.

Or even KNOWING what to say, could mess it up by delivering the message in the wrong tone of voice!

When I started working primarily on the phone, after I started buying leads, I called...
